Photography is something that a lot of people seem to be interested in these days. Being a photographer is easy, at least being a hobby photographer. There are high quality cameras in phones that can take very nice to look at photographs. Professionals of course use something far more advanced. I on the other hand discovered a middle ground, and use a midrange camera that makes decent quality photos, but doesn’t cost a lot of money.
My photography camera of choice
When I set out to buy a somewhat more professional camera for the purposes of my photography exploits, I set a budget for myself, $500, that’s all I would spend, and not a cent more. Being a college student means that you don’t exactly have a lot of money lying around.
After I had a budget, I started searching the web, and comparing all the various cameras out there. Now, let me clarify, when I say camera, I’m talking about the so called DSLR cameras. They are the go to camera of choice for anyone who considers themselves a photographer. The one I chose is Pentax K-S2. This camera costs just about $500, $550 to be more precise, but it has a lot to offer.
For starters it can shoot photographs at up to 20 million pixels. Also, it has an AA filter lens with APS-C CMOS sensor. ISO speeds can go up to 51200. On top of all that there are many other cool features like the fact that the camera is dustproof, cold proof, has built-in wifi and it even has a selfie mode, for taking those high quality selfies.
